Is it easy enough to install that I could just purchase/license from you and be on my way?
Yes. As long as you have a solid understanding of how the Macromedia ColdFusion server works it should be a very simple install. If you do not have a solid understanding of ColdFusion then you can hire us to install the server software for you. FYI, a standard installation should not take more than 30 minutes, if that.

What are the server requirements for running it?

  • Application Server - Macromedia ColdFusion Server 4.5 or higher
  • Database - Microsoft SQL Server 7 or higher, Microsoft Access 2000
  • Operating System - Windows NT, Windows 2000 server
  • Browser - Microsoft IE 5.5 and higher, Netscape 6 and higher.

CF_ContentManager has been successfully tested on both NT and 2000 servers. We currently do not have install scripts for MySQL, but we will be working on that shortly. Email us if you are interested in MySQL.

Is the CMS interface itself customizable?
Yes... All you have to do is replace the images in "/rootdirectory/cfadmin/images/".

How many scripts are involved?
There are 22 files that make up the main website display and over 60 files that make up the Administration Area.

Can I replace the javamenu with something else if required?
The Java menu that is included in CF_ContentManager has been thorougly tested in IE and Netscape on both Macs and PCs. You could replace that menu, but you would need to purchase the Enterprise edition of CF_ContentManager, which comes with open source code.

Are there any browser limitations to using the CMS? Windows only? IE only?
We recommend using IE 5.5 or higher on a PC

For Netscape, the only known issue currently is that in various Netscape browsers the Java menu will not drop down the sub-menu choices. The Java menu does work, however, and does rollover properly, so this will not affect a visitor's experience of your website.

How much will the system cost?
All the various pricing options are located on our Purchase Info page.

Do you have a money back guarantee or installation support?
We include 2 hours of installation support with all packages. You must, however, have some knowledge of ColdFusion to avoid paying our installation fee. FYI, a standard installation should not take more than 30 minutes, if that. We offer a full refund if you/we cannot get CF_ContentManager installed and operating properly within a reasonable time period.

How much can I customize the look and feel of my website?
You can drastically change the look and feel using the Basic and Pro versions of CF_ContentManager, but with CF_ContentManager Enterprise you can change everything as long as you have a firm understanding of ColdFusion and HTML.
